Article Notes:

Australia suffered a poor showing in the pool at the London 2012 Olympic Games.  In 2012, the Dolphins chose not to bring a sport psychology expert with them to support its swimmers.  This has been addressed with the introduction of sport psychologist Georgia Ridler in 2013. She has been with every Dolphins team since.  She is a confidante, mentor, and mind coach.  The likes of world champion Emily Seebohm credit’s her work with Ridler for her improved mental strength.  Many of the swimmers, in addition to the team training, elect to do weekly work with Ridler on their own.
