Article Notes:

Emily Cook, a veteran Olympic ski aerialist, emphasizes the importance of imagery.  Imagery helps you take in all the senses – hear it, feel it, smell it, everything.  Sport psychologists have helped athletes expand imagery to include differing aspects of a competition environment, including things like participating in a news conference or being in the bus on the way to the Alpine downhill.  Sport psychologist support of Olympic athletes continues to grow.
