Article Notes:

British player Johana Konta, although ranked in the top 10, had never made it into the 3rd round at Wimbledon.  In 2017 she did it in grand fashion, on Centre Court, winning an epic 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-8 match.  Her many years of work with mental coach guru Juan Coto paid off.  In being questioned about such an intense match and high-pressure Center Court moment, she recalled keeping her mind light, staying focused on the constructive things, approaching it like any other event, and showing up to compete.
