Aimee Kimball has been hired into the Washington Nationals as the team’s senior director of team and organizationaldevelopmentNot a licensed psychologist but a mental performance consultant, Kimball’s attention is on helping players reach higher levels inside of themselves.  Having already spent 15 years in the NHL as a mental consultant, Kimball’s 3 areas of focus in her new role will be:  mental skills training, player development, and prospect evaluation.  General Manager Brian MacLellan expresses how fortunate he feels to finally have someone experienced in developing the mental aspects of the game.
