In a move that is newer in professional cycling, Trek-Segafredo (rebranded to Lidl-Trek) hired Elisabetta Borgia in 2022 as the first full-time sport psychologist.  She works with the men’s and women’s team – both building mental fortitude to improve performance, as well as protecting the athletes’ mental health.
